Art by Thomas Bieniek

"The Paraclete"

"In it, I try to "tell" about hope. Looking into the light of the Spirit, I see a promise of breaking out of the state of disagreement with the shallow".

Year 2019.

Thomas painting ideally presents the message of the subject. Every person is like destroyed earth that is renews by Holy Spirit, giving us his gifts.

Each person has goodness and beauty in them that brings out more shine than shadows.

Each person has goodness and beauty in them that brings out more shine than shadows. But it also happens that we feel like dry, wounded, hungry, dry, and sick earth, ashes and dust that pass quickly. And to this land, full of suffering, which we are, to our human nature, entangled in attachments, sins, addictions, the Holy Spirit comes. In these good and difficult moments of our lives, during a pandemic, He comes because the time has come for the wounds of our bodies to heal, souls and hearts. He comes with the gift of fortitude, counsel, wisdom, understanding, piety, and skill to heal us, purify us, console us and strengthen us, give us joy, peace, happiness, and wisdom.

In the spirit of concern for the preservation of good and beauty

"The beauty of this land makes me cry for its preservation for the next generations. If you love your home field, don't let this cry go unanswered! (...) Not to forget the obligation to protect it from ecological destruction"!

Saint John Paul II

So Let your Spirit descend! And he will renew the face of the earth. This land! The face of our earth for next generations.

Holy Spirit in Pope John Paul II life and his love to Poland

"My homeland, beloved land, beloved land, blessed! How else can we express our love for this land and these people, if not through prayer, an earnest plea, that God, who is love, bless everyone abundantly? Whenever I visit Poland, I am not convinced that there are people of pure heart who live every day as poor in spirit, meek, merciful and peace-makers, persistently obtaining the grace of God's blessing for their homeland".

Saint John Paul II

How did the Holy Spirit work in the history of Poland?

In 1979, John Paul II spoke about the right to exist, about the right to freedom, to create one's own culture and civilization. He believed that man cannot be fully understood without Christ, or rather, man cannot understand himself without Christ, and therefore Christ cannot be excluded from human history anywhere on earth. During the first pilgrimage of the Polish Pope to Poland, words were spoken; Let your Spirit descend! And he will renew the face of the earth. This land! These words inspired Poles to change that changed 20th-century history.

"20 years ago (...) in Victory Square I invoked the Holy Spirit. (...) while asking for this renewal, we did not know yet what shape the Polish changes would take. Today we know how deeply the action of God's power, which frees, heals and cleanses, reached".

Saint John Paul II
